Shipping & Delivery
Orders can only be sent to addresses within New Zealand.
Your order will usually be dispatched the same day payment is received however it may (occasionally) be the next working day. Where possible we use a door to door courier service.
Expected delivery time is usually 1-3 working days. If the order is being delivered to a rural address there is an additional charge for delivery, please allow an additional 2 working days. If you don't receive your goods within a reasonable time please email us and we'll do a Track and Trace on the parcel for you.
If the NZ delivery address is outside the North and South Islands (eg. Waiheke, Great Barrier, Chatham, Stewart Islands), please contact us for a freight quote. Our automated online shipping quote (or any shipping promotions we are offering) only applies to the North & South Islands.
The shipping charge is automatically calculated when you add a product to your 'cart'. Our automated online shipping can not always calualate the best combination for multiple or complicated orders. If you think the shipping charge shown could be better, please contact us before ordering and we will package and re-quote the shipping.
RURAL DELIVERY PLEASE NOTE:
If you live in a rural area (RD address), our system should add an additional $5.00. NZ Auto Fasteners Ltd reserves the right to add this freight should you not indicate your rural address in the freight window.
Returns
In the event that you have changed your mind about a product you've purchased, you must contact us within 7 days from the date of supply.
Goods accepted for credit or refund (at our discretion) must be delivered at the buyer's expense in the original condition and packaging (including any manuals and documentation).
If an item is returned, the actual shipping fees will be deducted from the refund amount.
General
Where we accept the buyer's order these terms and conditions form the entire agreement between us and the buyer and no other understanding, representation or warranty forms part of this contract.
Any variation or cancellation of the buyer's order shall have no effect unless accepted in writing by us. If order has already been dispatched then the above 'returns' conditions apply.
Prices and Taxes
The prices for the products on the website are stated and are payable in New Zealand dollars (NZD). All prices and delivery charges within New Zealand are inclusive of New Zealand Goods and Services tax at a rate of 15%.
Website prices may vary from time to time due to exchange rates and other factors.
Orders
Ordering goods (online or otherwise) constitutes an offer by the buyer to buy in accordance with these terms and conditions. Our acceptance occurs (and the contract is formed) when the goods are dispatched to the buyer.
Delivery
Any quotation of delivery times by us is made in good faith and is an estimate only. We are unable to control what happens when the order has been picked up by the Courier.
Damages or Loss in Transit
Before signing for the delivery the buyer must thoroughly ensure the complete consignment as per the transport company's note has been received (there are no shortages) and there is no visible damage to the outer packaging. If there are any concerns, the transport company's note must be endorsed accordingly.
As per strict transport company conditions, damaged items must be reported to NZ Auto Fasteners Ltd and the transport company within 24 hours of delivery to qualify for an insurance claim on the items.
While no liability for goods damaged or lost in transit will be accepted by us, details of any claim should be advised to us so we can work with the transport company to achieve a favourable outcome.
Return of Goods for Credit or Refund
Items can only be returned with the express approval of NZ Auto Fasteners Ltd.
Requests must be submitted within seven days from the date of supply.
In the event of a warranty claim the buyer may be required to send the item back.
If the defect is not a warranty issue or if it is due to improper installation (or misuse), the warranty will be declined and the buyer shall be liable to pay for any expenses incurred during the claim process.
Should the product be determined to be faulty, it will be replaced at our discretion. Should a replacement product be unavailable, we will credit the original purchase price of the product.
NZ Auto Fasteners Ltd's liability of any defect in (or failure of) the goods supplied, or for any loss, injury, or damage, is limited to the replacement of the goods.
NZ Auto Fasteners Ltd is not liable for consequential, indirect or special damages or loss of profits under any circumstances.
The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, inappropriate or improper operation, lack of maintenance, incorrect installation, modification or adjustment of the item.
NZ Auto Fasteners Ltd's liability under this contract and the warranty in this clause is confined to the buyer named in this contract. The warranty is not assignable without our prior written consent. At the termination of the warranty period (one month) all liability on NZ Auto Fasteners Ltd ceases.
Errors or Omissions
Sometimes, but not often, we make a mistake concerning the price or availability of a product. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price or the item becomes unavailable NZ Auto Fasteners Ltd shall have the right to refuse or cancel an order placed for the product(s) listed incorrectly. If the customer has already been charged for the purchase, NZ Auto Fasteners Ltd will refund the charge.
Disputes and Governing Law
Any claim or dispute arising hereunder shall be subject to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act 1996.
Terms and Conditions Change Notice
NZ Auto Fasteners Ltd reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time by publishing the changed terms on the website. When revised Terms and Conditions are published on this website, all orders submitted by the buyer after the revised Terms and Conditions are published shall be subject to the revised Terms and Conditions.
